Though Veela always have an enchanting aura influencing those in the surrounding area attracted to their gender, they can also direct their charm non-targeted to a group by use of a dance or towards a singular target with merely a look. This can be done both wandlessly and wordlessly, projecting their enchanting aura to bewitch and almost confound others. This makes the veela hypnotically charming and may cause their target to perform foolhardy and impulsive actions to get closer to and to receive admiration or approval from the Veela. This ability can be used to make one charming enough to completely overwhelm unsuspecting individuals if the veela wanted to. This ability’s effectiveness diminishes over time as a target is given opportunity to acclimate to the veela’s charm. That is to say, the more this ability is used upon the same person, the less potent effect it will have on them until eventually it has no effect at all.

As this ability can only be defended against by occlumency and it heavily impacts the target’s will, this ability requires ooc consent from the target.

To note, this ability is different from merely fluttering one’s lashes. It is actively using the passive magical effects of their heritage to assert their charm upon and bewitch those who view them. This is the difference between pouting at a cute boy to get your way and actively drawing upon your charm to magically sway someone to your will. One example might be, using this charm and a display of tears to avoid what would have been a lot of trouble for an ordinary student.
