Le Front Libération des Non-Magiques (English: The Muggle Liberation Front) was an organisation founded and led by Georges Bienfaisance, and later led by Aimée Bienfaisance.
History[]
Founding[]
The organisation was founded in 1941 when, following his graduation from Beauxbatons Academy of Magic, Georges Bienfaisance found himself faced with the realities of what both the Muggle and magical communities were experiencing under the German occupation of France during the Second World War, specifically in Paris.
The Great Banner Transfiguration (August 1942)[]
Under Georges' initial leadership, one of the organisation's main tactics in fighting back against the German occupation was that of disrupting the Nazi's propaganda attempts. This included an attempt to Transfigure all Nazi banners across the city of Paris into animated caricatures of Adolf Hitler straining upon an excrement-sprayed toilet. This act of vandalism led to great amusement among the magical and Muggle communities of Paris, however due to the unconcealed magic used, and the possible contraventions to the International Statute of Secrecy committed by it, the French Minister of Magic swiftly moved to reverse the mass Transfiguration.
In the course of this, Georges would meet his future wife, Aimée Bienfaisance, then named Aimée Baudelaire, who had been contracted by the French Ministry of Magic to lead the effort to reverse the vandalism.
Investigating Nazi Maltreatment (November 1942)[]
Later that year, Georges would lead an effort to investigate, prevent, and reverse the reported maltreatment occurring in many public health institutions across Paris due to the Nazi administration ruling over Paris.
Having personally discovered a mental institution where a large number of patients had experienced degrading maltreatment, Georges noted a name which he remembered. Soon enough, he would divulge to Aimée Baudelaire that her mother had died in the institution due to the Nazi's negligent administration of the institution. From that day, Aimée Baudelaire joined the institution in earnest, taking the lead of the organisation at Georges' side.]]
