- 4th (Saturday): Aisling Rose Opal Jones became the first victim of the Animagi Killer to survive the attack. The attack happened at Kings Cross Station after the students boarded the train to return to Hogwarts after winter break.
February[]
- 8th (Saturday): Bugulartis Warble retires as Chief Warlock of the Wizengamot. He is replaced by former Magistrate Alistair Colquhoun.

- 4th (Saturday): Hogsmeade village is destroyed by fire. The fire broke out following a DMLE raid on the Dark Forest in order to capture fugitive Agron Mordushku, whose followers set the fire as distraction. During the raid, Head Auror Zenith DePalo murdered his colleague Eugene Longnecker and was subsequently arrested.
- 19th (Sunday): Head Auror Zenith DePalo is tried before the full Wizengamot on a charge of murdering fellow auror Eugene Longnecker. DePalo is found guilty and sentenced by Chief Warlock Alistair Colquhoun to serve his term of life imprisonment within the vaults of Gringotts Bank as a code-breaker.

- 7th - 14th: The 2027 International Wizarding Leadership Summit is held in London, organised by British Minister for Magic Alyssa Merriweather. The delegates stay at the famous Ritz Hotel which is specially prepared by the Ministry for the purpose.
- 8th (Saturday): Official Summit meeting is held at the International Confederation Chambers of the Ministry of Magic, convened by Minister Merriweather. The summit focused principally on the international response to the dark underground 'Umbra' organisation.
- 14th (Friday): The closing gala of the International Wizarding Leadership Summit is held, with entertainment provided by the Va-Va-Veelas and pianist Emily Neutron.
- 15th (Saturday): An opening ceremony is held to celebrate the reconstruction of Hogsmeade Village which was destroyed by fire in April 2027. The 2027 Triwizard Tournament is also announced during the opening ceremony.
- 27th - 28th: The Goblin Retreat ("Gretreat") decision is passed by a joint council of the Wizengamot and goblin representatives, convened by Chief Warlock Alistair Colquhoun. The decision has political and economic reverberations with rapid inflation of the price of many wizarding products. The two communities begin to negotiate goblinkind separating from wizardkind to form their own government.

- 17th (Saturday): Students and Professors from Beauxbatons Academy and Durmstrang Institute arrive at Hogwarts for the 2027 Triwizard Tournament.
- 24th (Saturday): The champions and seconds for the 2027 Triwizard Tournament are chosen by the Goblet of Fire. The following students are chosen from each of the participating schools:
- Beauxbatons: Cardan Duarte (Champion); Sébastian Roumieux (Second)
- Durmstrang: Lars Stangeland (Champion); Gabriel Engstrom (Second)
- Hogwarts: Elliot Reid (Champion); Emily Neutron (Second)

- 21st (Saturday): The First Task of the 2027 Triwizard Tournament is held at Hogwarts School. The three school champions each faced a powerful magical creature protecting a golden cocoon which they had to retrieve to progress to the next task. The scores for the task were Cardan Duarte (Beauxbatons) with 36/50, Elliot Reid (Hogwarts) with 44/50 and Lars Stangeland (Durmstrang) Lars with 45/50.

- 19th (Saturday): The Yule Ball is held for the 2027 Triwizard Tournament. The event is marred by the death of Durmstrang Headmaster Matvey Golovin
- 28th - 29th: The 75th Annual Winter Open Dueling Tournament is held in Little Lamplight. The competition is judged by Saffron Foxclaw (theme), Alistair Colquhoun (skill), and Aisling Colquhoun (artistry). Giovanni Gallo is named winner and Persephone Vitrac as runner up.
